Pluckley claims to be one of the most haunted villages in England. The Black Horse is said to be haunted by Jessie Brook who also haunted the pub at its previous location during the 19th century. The village was also the setting for the television adaptation of ‘The Darling Buds of May.’ Pluckley Parish Council have put together a 'where to' site in the small village.
